Monday is a bittersweet day for one of Jamaica Plain’s iconic businesses. Centre Street Cafe, which has been an anchor for the community through good times and bad over the past 20-plus years, is closing.
Here’s what the restaurant posted on their Facebook page last week.
[iframely]https://www.facebook.com/Centrestreetcafejp/posts/1437118669883337[/iframely]Owner Felicia Sánchez is handing the space over to another JP restauranteur, David Doyle of Tres Gatos. Once renovations are over, the plan is for the spot to reopen with an Italian-inspired menu.
