Hello neighborhood. Here’s your Morning Memo for all things JP for Wednesday, May 21.
Help Design the JP Branch Library: The JP Branch Library on Sedgwick is finally (fingers crossed) getting its long-delayed renovation. You know, for little things like making it fully accessible to all Bostonians. Wednesday evening is the second community meeting to help the design team flesh out exactly what improvements will be made. Here’s a recap of last month’s session. 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the JP Branch Library, 12 Sedgwick St.
Business and Professional Assoc. Meets: The May meeting of the JP Business and Professional Assoc. is at a different time than usual — instead of lunchtime, it’s an early evening meeting. If you’ve never been, this is a great networking group made up of anyone who owns or works at a JP business. 5 p.m. Wednesday at Community Servings, 18 Marbury Terrace. Refreshments available at 4:45 p.m. Agenda items include a presentation by John Regan from Associated Industries of Massachusetts and discussion of a new traffic light at Centre and South streets.
Annual Meeting of the JP Neighborhood Development Corp.: It’s hard to argue that any one organization has had more of an affect on what gets built around here than the JP Neighborhood Development Corp. On Thursday, the organization holds its annual meeting. It’s always a lively affair. Thursday, May 22, 6-9 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall, 45 Brookside Ave.
It’s a beautiful day, JP. Hope you enjoy it.
