Jamaica Plain shows its personality in a lot of little ways. Even in the wording of an anti-littering sign near Green Street T.
In choosing, “beseech,” the sign-maker went for a word that’s out of fashion, as you can see from Google’s graph of the word’s use over the last 200 years:
It’s certainly classier than this sign spotted recently by JP’s Neal Simpson:
