Public Auction Set for Noon Wednesday on Egleston Commercial Building

Good morning, JP. Here’s your morning memo for Wednesday, April 16.

Egleston Commercial Building to be Auctioned: According to a legal notice in the Metro, at noon Wednesday there will be an auction of 3152-3160 Washington St. That’s the building that houses Pin Bochinche and three other local businesses. I hear through the grapevine there might be a protest at the auction based on the concern that a new owner might jack up rents. If you decide to go, keep in mind these auctions are often delayed or rescheduled. Here’s a link to the legal notice. It’s on p. 20 of the April 9 Metro.

Snow: All I’ll say is that the record for latest snowfall in Boston is half an inch on May 10, 1977. So at least we didn’t break that record this morning.

Business and Professional Assoc. Meets at James’s Gate: The JP Business and Professional Assoc., which is a great networking group for any JP business person, meets today at James’s Gate. The meeting starts at 12:30 p.m., but arrive by 12:15 for a free lunch.

Have a good day, JP. And let’s just pretend that snow didn’t happen.
